Individual handmade hair accessories.

Pretty Hair Things, based in Eastbourne, East Sussex creates beautiful hair up accessories, tiaras, hair combs, hair clips, hair pins/grips for bridal hair, party hair, every day hair. I design and produce with unusual beads, glass, pearls, feathers, paper flowers, leaves, mother of pearl. This ensures there is something for all occasions.

Do you find that some accessories break after wearing it once? My designs are produced with high quality wire and secured especially well to avoid instant breakage! I try to ensure the product is solid but still delicate and individual.

Each piece is checked for ends and the wire is woven into place to avoid ends from unraveling. All together, my bespoke pieces are genuinely made with love and care - For the individual in all of us!

My Experience / Expertise.

I make sure all my designs are completely individual and are made to my exacting standards. The designs are all made slightly differently as each one is hand made with care.

I have enjoyed all aspects of design for 20 years in the hair industry; I taught hairdressing for 10 years and therefore understand how and what works in fine hair - things can tend to slide out, or thick hair when things tend not to stay put!

I also enjoy dress making, jewelry making, and beading and have tried various craft related projects. I understand how important it is to gain knowledge to enable a solidly finished piece.

I have completed several commissions for Brides that have specific ideas for their headpieces and can source most colours and types of finishes. This gives a completely individual feel to your special day.

Also I have completed many ornate tiaras for black-tie parties when an individuals needs are complementary to the outfit style and colour worn.

Wedding hair checklist

1. A trial run with your stylist is always a great idea, if possible as

 soon as your wedding date is set. Take along a photo of your dress and any headpiece or hair accessories.

2. Find out if you need to grow your hair length, improve the condition with conditioning treatments, change the colour or have some highlights.

3. NEVER shampoo hair or conditioning treatments on the wedding day.

4. On the day of the wedding make sure the bridal party wears button or zip-up clothes. No crew neck jumpers! This will ensure you don’t mess up your style…
